The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Divine Otoo Agorhom, has asked the party to guard against apathy and divisions often associated with the election of flag bearers of the party.
Welcoming delegates and officials of the party at the ongoing national delegates conference at the Accra Sports Stadium, he said the elephant family is the most loved party in Ghana but the party would have to stay united to assume its rightful position in winning the next elections.
He was optimistic that Ghana’s “economy will bounce back stronger than before but the party would have to guard against the apathy of the party faithfuls and divisions often associated with the election of flag bearers of our party”.
He further pledged that the Greater Accra Region is poised to assume its rightful position in making the party win the presidential election and the majority of seats in parliament in 2024.
He said the party in the Greater Accra region will make history and has invited the other 15 regions to join hands with them so they will break the 8-year-jinx.
According to him, breaking the 8-jinx should not be mere rhetoric.
