The Chinese national who was deported in 2019 for illegal mining activities has been rearrested for the same offence
She was charged with two counts: mining without a license and engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals without a valid license.
She was detained alongside three other people: Johng Li Hua, Huang Jei, and Huaid Hai Hun.
According to the Ghana News Agency, the court preserved Aisha’s plea because there was no Chinese interpreter present.
According to the GNA, Detective Chief Inspector Frederick Sarpong requested that the accused be remanded in custody while investigations are conducted.
The galamsey kink and her associates were later remanded in custody. They are scheduled to return to court on September 14, 2022.
