I know Ghanaians are suffering, but we’II soon revive the economy- Prez

President Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his commitment to reviving Ghana’s economy.
He stated that efforts were being made to help the economy recover from its current difficulties.

He admitted that Ghanaians were facing serious economic difficulties.

But he was confident that it would end soon because his administration has what it takes to revive the economy.

According to him, he took over when the economy was in disarray, but his administration was able to get it back on track until the pandemic struck.

He noted that Ghana was not the only country faced with an economic crisis.

“I am aware that Ghanaians are struggling and experiencing hardship. But I am confident that we will be able to revive the economy and get it back on track.

I took over the economy when it was in trouble, but my administration was able to keep it stable. The current crisis does not only affect Ghana. We will, however, overcome it. This battle is entirely the Lord’s. We will overcome this crisis with your help.”

He was speaking at a memorial service for the late rites Opanin Samuel Kwame Agyepong, father of Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong.

Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has clarified his relationship with Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Chief Executive Officer of the Jospong Group of Companies.

Some people have questioned why the two have become so close, according to the president.

“Some people believe that we have become friends, he said.

However, the president claimed that they were business partners rather than friends.

“Some people have asked why Dr. Siaw Agyepong and I are friends. We are business partners, not friends. I discovered that he is doing good for Ghana, which is why the government is supporting him. He is not the only one we are rooting for. The government is ready to assist businesses and entrepreneurs who are doing something positive to help the economy grow.”
