Koku Anyidoho, Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute, has revealed that his organisation and other stakeholders are launching the ‘HOPE PROJECT.’
During an appearance on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm’s Frontline, he revealed that AMI intends to collaborate with the National Youth Authority (NYA) to carry out this project.
He explained that the HOPE PROJECT (HONESTY, OPPORTUNITIES, PURPOSEFULNESS, AND EMPOWERMENT) aims to empower youth by providing them with hope and the best ways to identity opportunities so that they can be self-sufficient without relying on anyone.
He explained that the youth of this country should not be in despair and one of the ways to address this is through this project which would also ensure a mindset transformation.
He added that the initiative would be suooourted by PALI Ghana, an Independent Christian oriented Charity Organization that is focused on building solid values in the Youth.
Koku Anyidoho was very emphatic that, Ghana does not lack the men/women of substance who have the capacity to vision out real and achievable growth trajectories, but the real handicap, is, committed Leadership which spins around, Integrity.
Koku Anyidoho stated further that, Ghana needs a new generation of positive thinkers who are prepared to find HOPE in themselves and not in others.
He stated that there several opportunities that the youth can pursue in all aspects of the economy and build themselves without depending on others.
He said some would ask what I did when we were in power. The things we started doing before the death of Atta Mills, if we have kept doing them, if we had continued on that tangent we would not be where we are today. If we had continued, the NDC would have been sorry to break the 8-year-jinx. But when you deliberately decided to break what President Mills started, this what would happen”.
The Atta-Mills Institute (AMI), is a Public Policy Advocacy Think-Thank that is anchored to a vision of Mindset Transformation for building Ghana and other nations.
