A former youth organizer has posited that it should be President Akufo-Addo that must be removed from office.
The young politician argued that he does not know why some Ghanaians think the sacking of the Minister alone would salvage the economic woes.
To him, President Akufo-Addo must be sacked because he has failed and exhibited incompetence.
Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawmakers are calling for Ken Ofori-Atta to be fired as Finance Minister.
The MPs, numbering around 80, held a press conference on Tuesday to press the President to relieve his cousin of the responsibility of managing the national purse or risk losing their support for future government business.
They also want the Minister of State in charge of Finance at the President’s Office to suffer a similar fate.
Reacting, Divine Nkrumah noted that it is too late for the country because the situation we are faced with is alarming.
”I don’t know why people think sacking Ken Ofori Atta alone will solve the problems. Sika no wɔ he? It’s late.. It’s Prez Nana Addo’s head ankasa that they must call for. The buck stops with him. He is the one who has superintended over this mess and condoned this drivel by KOA all this while.. Nana Addo himself must abdicate his position.. Too incompetent.”
