I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth- Jessy Morgan

Gospel musician Jesse Morgan has revealed it was not all rosy for him despite assertions that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

He stated that his life journey for him has not been easy since he has experienced difficult times.

In an interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua on the mid-morning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the US-based gospel musician said coming from an “underprivileged” home as a young boy in Ghana, the struggles were not easy.

He said it took grace for him to get to the point where he is currently.

Staying in Madina, according to the musician, was a difficult journey.

He said he had to hawk ‘Atwumo,’ beans and plantains, kerosene, and even used clothes.

“I have done it all, and to top it all off, I was in a fatal car accident in the United States that no one thought I would survive, but as a Christian, all I can say is God. “This is what sparked the idea for my new song,” he explained.

The gospel minister has collaborated with many international artists, including Israel Houghton, Micah Stampley, Donnie McClurkin, and Tye Tribbett, but he is open to working with any versatile musician who fits the bill.

“Life hasn’t been easy for me. People believe I have had a perfect life. It’s been a difficult journey for me as well. So, for those who believe I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, you are mistaken. I struggled, I went through several difficulties on the journey, but God saw me through,” he added.
