The supporters of the censure motion against Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta have asked him to resign honourably.
One of the proponents, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, said it was time for the Minister to go as he presented evidence to support his allegations against the Minister before the 8-member ad hoc committee investigating the matter.
He stated that, while the Minister had done his part for the country, he was no longer fit and competent to lead the Finance Ministry.
He hinted that the Waakye seller on the street wants him gone and that he must resign from his position.
”I want to plead with him that even the Waakye seller on the street wants him to go. His own party people want him to go. They may not be able to say it, but they want him to go. So when you are confronted with a situation like that, and everybody thinks you have to go, we in the Minority have no choice but to say the time has come..
