Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana, Madam Diana Nyonkopa Daniels, has reiterated the need for Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to step down and save everyone time and stress.
He said the Minister could end the ongoing embarrassment and waste of time by resigning from his post.
She said on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm’s Frontline that several voices want you out, but you’ve decided to stay. This could cause you embarrassment. Just do the right thing and resign.”
Madam Daniels told host Kwabena Agyapong that the country’s economic woes have worsened, the Minister is seen as clueless and the most prudent thing to do is for him to resign.
She stressed that the issue of conflict of interest and the benefits that his bank Data Bank had in bonds are some of the reasons people want him out.
”Your party members don’t want you. Ghanaians want you out. Can’t you advise yourself and bow out honourably?”
”He should go so the president will appoint a new person. He should not allow people to embarrass him,” she stressed.
