Anas Aremeyaw Anas, an investigative journalist, has filed a conflict of interest complaint with the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) against Charles Adu Boahen, a former Minister of State in the Finance Ministry, and Minister Ken Ofori-Attta.

The petition was filed at CHRAJ to investigate the finance minister for his involvement in the issuance of bonds, as well as Charles Adu Boahen.

The investigative journalist claims that Adu Boahen and his former boss engaged in a conflict of interest when using their companies to purchase government bonds while performing their official duties.

According to the petition, there is a conflict of interest between their official duties as public officers and the companies in which they have a stake in government bonds.

CHRAJ said the petition is going through the standard assessment process to ensure that it meets the Commission’s procedural requirements.

CHRAJ also stated that it would investigate the petition to see if it is within the Commission’s mandate to do so.
