Some Rawlings Park Gate Number One vendors have expressed concern about ‘wee smokers’ invading their spaces.
The traders complained to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that they are concerned about their health.
The traders informed Magret Sarfowaa, who was dispatched from the scene, that their businesses had been harmed.
They claim that customers who used to buy from them have stopped because of the smokers.
Customers have complained about feeling unsafe when they come to buy, the traders said.
The traders also revealed that several complaints filed at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly had gone unanswered.
She also stated that the police sometimes conduct swoops and arrest smokers, but they are later released.
It has also been revealed that some of these smokers are truck drivers who work at the location and smoke in their spare time.
