Member of Parliament for Builsa South South Dr. Clement Apaak says it is useless for the National Service Secretariat to investigate its Ashanti Regional Director.
He noted that the best approach to the matter is to sack him.
The Management of the NSS has invited its Ashanti Regional Director for preliminary investigations.
Alex Opoku-Mensah is said to have verbally abused a nurse at the Manhyia Hospital for how the healthcare provider spoke with his daughter.
Reports had it that the nurse had called the house officer to suggest a change in prescription for a patient.
The doctor reportedly took offence to how the nurse spoke with her.
His father followed her to the facility where he allegedly insulted the nurse.
NSS later issued a statement saying it was investigating tge issue.
But Dr. Apaak says the probe is needless.
According to him, the NSS regional director issued threats, and hurtful comments at the nurse and does not deserve to hold office.
He said the incident was captured on tape hence the man must be sacked.
He tweeted saying “Committee by NSS to investigate misconduct of the Ashanti Regional NSS boss? Really! The hurtful, demeaning and threatening comments directed at the nurse are on tape. A committee is totally unnecessary, waste of time and resources. Sack the guy!”
