Security analyst Adib Saani has asked the government to take responsibility for business mogul Asuma Banda since his life could be in grave danger.
He stated that considering what is currently happening, the man must be in the custody of the state.
He explained that the businessman who is currently unwell is not getting the best of support and is not in the right frame of mind because his family members are fighting over him and his money.
In a Facebook post he said ”A video showing scuffle between different parties beside Asumah Banda’s sick bed has gone viral on social media.
As a criminologist, I know full well that a lot of deaths happen because the perpetrators are greedy. Asumah Banda obviously looks so unwell and anyone who could take advantage to cause him harm. He appears to not be too conscious of himself hence the need to have a trusted and neutral person who doesn’t have anything to gain from his death to look after him.
It’s quite obvious that for many of those within his close circle, his money matters more than his health hence the need for the state to take this matter seriously.
He is a statesman and deserves the protection of the state. I have personally witnessed him attend events on behalf of late Prof. Mills.”
In an interview on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm’s Frontline, he stated that Mr. Banda is a stateman who needs to be protected by the state.
He emphasised that the man could be in danger and that if the state does not intervene, we will be sorry.
He warned ”someone by virtue of his or her closeness to the businessman, could harm him”.
