The Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Immigration Service issued a joint statement refuting a Ghanaian Times News Paper report that 48 suspected terrorists arrested had gone missing.
The two security agencies stated unequivocally in the statement that the alleged publication is false and should be ignored.
According to the Police and the Ghana Immigration Service, no alleged terrorists have been apprehended.
It went on to say that there is no blame game between the two agencies.
It said some 48 foreign nationals were arrested in September 2022 through separate operations by the two agencies for engaging in illegal Network Marketing (QNET).
The suspects were profiled in line with standard practice and were repatriated to theior various countries between September 26 and 29, 2022, the statement added.
