They have all been charged with a count each of the offence of failing to comply with a lawful demand of an authorized officer of the office of the special prosecutor in the performance of his function.

Emmanuel Basintele, legal representative for the office of the special prosecutor, did not oppose bail for the second, third, and fourth accused persons, but did oppose bail for the first accused (Issah Seidu) for showing outright disrespect for the office of the special prosecutor during their investigations.

However, the first accused was granted bail in the sum of 10,000 Ghana cedis with one surety by Justice Comfort Tasiame’s Court. He will be required to report to the OSP every Monday until the case is resolved.

The second accused, James Keck Osei, a civil servant and administrator at the Vice Present’s office, was granted self-recognizance bail, and the fourth accused was also granted bail in the sum of Ghc10,000 with
one surety.

The case has been adjourned to 13 March 2023 for continuation.
