Residents, parents, teachers, and traditional leaders in the Afigya Kwabre South district of the Ashanti region have taken a swipe at the government for ignoring their concerns over the deplorable nature of the Atimatim-Maase R/C primary and Junior High School (JHS).
The aggrieved residents told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that the school is gradually collapsing.
Those who spoke with the station noted that the lives of pupils, students, and teachers are at risk since the building could collapse soon.

Almost everything is lacking at the school, including desks, textbooks, and other teaching and learning materials.
They complained that the school was usually closed whenever it threatened to rain, which had a negative impact on academics.
Students, according to them, do not find it enjoyable or exciting to return to the death trap because the school has become a haven for goats, weeds, lizards, and other dangerous reptiles.
“The situation is depressing and pathetic. The school’s poor condition has an impact on teaching and learning.
Residents revealed that the school has received no rehabilitation since its inception. Students are compelled to learn in death-trap school structures.
