Angry residents have inflicted cutlass wounds on a suspected phone thief.
The suspect was allegedly beaten after he was caught stealing a mobile phone from a herbalist in Gomoa Akwamu, a suburb in the Gomoa Central District in Ghana’s Central region.
According to the information gathered, the suspect went to a native doctor’s house and stole ten mobile phones and money belonging to accident victims receiving treatment at the Native doctor’s house.
The Agona Swedru District Police Command rescued the suspect from the angry youth who had the suspect’s identity on their wanted list.
The suspect is currently receiving treatment at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital.
According to the police, he will be arrested after being released from the hospital.
