Founder and Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana has challenged any individual or individuals claiming that the Inspector of General of Police George Akuffo Dampare is corrupt to provide evidence or stop the needless attacks against him.
Madam Nyonkopa Daniels is willing to pay such a person $20,000 if they can provide evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that the IGP is corrupt.
She defended the IGP’s integrity, saying he is a man of impeccable character.
She stated on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s Frontline that the IGP has never accepted a bribe in his career as an officer of the law.
She stated that the IGP is a man of integrity, credibility, trustworthiness, and firmness and that as a result, some people are opposed to what he does.
“The IGP is someone who has never accepted a bribe. I have not taken money from him to be commending him. I am challenging anyone who has ever bribed him to show proof. I will give the person $20,000. He is a man and may not be perfect but genuine.”
Madam Daniels said the current IGP has sanitised the service and brought some dignity to the Police.
”He is clean. He is credible and professional. He has distinguished himself and all those who want him out. They would try to smear him with unfounded claims and allegations.”
“I’m not saying the former IGPs did nothing for the service. But consider what Dr. Dampare has done. I can confidently say that he is exceptional. He has changed the face of the police service”
