Tamale Technical University students are protesting against the school’s administration over a 15% increase in school fees.
The enraged students had earlier gathered at the school’s administration building, preventing management from entering their offices.
They have declared that they will boycott lectures until their concerns are addressed.
The Director of Public Affairs, Osman Mubarik, reacting to the issue asked the students to rescind their decision to boycott lecturers although they have the legitimate right to do so.
He said the students should give management of the school time to address the concerns they had raised.
He indicated that the school would decide on the interest of the students, community and the community.
He said the students should also appreciate that things have changed and the school is now a technical university, and there was the need to up the game to meet the standard.
