Kweku Essumang, a 50-year-old chainsaw operator, was killed when he was crushed by a tree he was cutting.
The deceased, from Assin Abogisesu in the Assin South District of the Central Region, was hired by Kofi Shaibu on his farm to fell some trees, as most farmers do when preparing their land for cultivation, and unfortunately, the incident occurred.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that the deceased was felling the tree when he (the farm owner) saw the tree coming down in his direction and shouted to warn him to run, but the deceased couldn’t hear him and the tree landed on him, killing him instantly.
The deceased’s body was deposited at the Assin Fosu St. Francis hospital mortuary.
