Alex Opoku Manu and Benjamin Eyram Nana Kwame Degbey both from St James Seminary SHS, Sunyani were presented with an award for their exceptional performance during the 2022 WASSCE.
The students made Ghana proud by picking up the first and second positions respectively.
Odigigbo Chioma Blessing of Nigeria took the third position.
The award ceremony was held in Banjul, Gambia during the 71st annual council meeting of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) from the 13th to 17th of March 2023
Dr Eric Nkansah, Director-General, joined Ghana’s delegation, which included Father Owusu Sekyere, Headmaster of Opoku Ware School, to attend the meeting.
H.E. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of Gambia, officially opened the five-day program.
