Hon Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Jomoro, has expressed her heartfelt appreciation for what she describes as a “show of love” for her and her campaign.

According to the MP, the number of phone calls, text messages, and people who wished her luck following her vetting was overwhelming.

The politician said she was aware some persons have expressed concern why someone would seek to challenge her despite the effort she has done.

To her, nothing unusual was happening, but rather the democratic process for which the NDC is recognised.

She felt confident about winning the primary and retaining the seat while representing the NDC in the constituency.

“I can assure you that nothing untoward is happening. What we are witnessing is just the party’s democratic process so we must follow it. I followed the same procedure last four years and so will I this year.

I want to also assure you that the God that brought us this far will see us through, therefore no one should entertain any fear as far as the processes we are going through are concerned.”

I am overwhelmed by the numerous telephone calls, social media messages, and individuals who personally came to me since Monday, April 3, 2023, after the vetting and balloting for the May 13 Parliamentary primaries.

A lot of you wanted to know why someone would make the decision to contest me, Hon Dorcas Affo-Toffey, because of the good works I have done and continue to do for our great Jomoro and NDC.

Let me take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to you all for the concerns and love shown to me and my campaign team.

I can assure you that nothing untoward is happening. What we are witnessing is just the party’s democratic process so we must follow it. I followed the same procedure last four years and so will I this year.

I want to also assure you that the God that brought us this far will see us through, therefore no one should entertain any fear as far as the processes we are going through are concerned.

I thank my campaign team and the NDC constituency executives for being behind me.                                                                    I promise not to let you down.                                                                                                           God bless you all.

-Hon Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Member of Parliament, Jomoro Constituency.
