Issahaku Adam, a sub-chief in his late 50s, was allegedly shot dead by unknown assailants in Karaga in the Northern Region.
On Thursday night, April 6, a shooting happened.
The dead, a farmer, is claimed to be one of the sub-chiefs reporting to Karaga’s new chief, Kar Naa Natogmah Abdulai.
The chief’s death has been tied to the Karaga chieftaincy conflict.
According to reports, the sub-chief went to the Karaga Palace to pay his respects and was shot by unknown people when he returned.
He passed away after being transferred to the hospital.
The body has subsequently been deposited in the mortuary at Tamale Teaching Hospital.
