Residents in Bibiani have asked authorities to repair a broken bridge in the area as soon as possible.
They claimed that the collapsed bridge endangers them and must be repaired.
Residents of Ahodwo, Gee Akurase, Estate, and New Town, Bibiani suburbs of the Bibiani Anhweaso Bekwai in the Western North Region, are served by the bridge.
According to them, the collapse of the bridge connecting them in the area is having an impact on their socioeconomic activities.
The residents said the bridge has been deteriorating since 2019 and has now become a death trap for users.
Meanwhile, Samuel Kwagyire, Assemblyman for the New Town/Kyekyewere Electoral Area, has stated that he has taken steps to repair the bridge.
He revealed that he had discussed the bridge with the Bibiani Municipal Assembly, other philanthropists, and even the urban roads secretariat to make the area a bypass to ease traffic in Bibiani.
