The collapse of a three-storey building has killed one person at Nanakrom in the Adentan Municipality in Accra.
The deceased this website gathered was trapped under rubble following the collapse of the building.
Another person was hurt and is being treated in the hospital.
Alexander Nii Noi Adumuah, the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, confirmed the incident.
He stated that after hours of searching, personnel from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) were able to extract the deceased on Friday morning.
The police are currently looking into the situation.
The building collapse comes just a week after a similar one in Adentan in the Greater Accra Region, where the building’s supervisor was arrested.
