A political analyst has opined that it would not be surprising if Dr. Kwabena Duffour forms a new political party to contest the 2024 presidential election but it is not possible.
The political analyst believes it is unlikely that Dr. Kwabena Duffour will launch a new political party to run in the 2024 presidential election.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Alex Emmanuel Nti stated that he would be astonished if Dr. Duffour takes that step.
But ruled out the idea of it happening.
He explained that the former finance minister and governor of the central bank had benefited greatly from the NDC and that such a decision would be prudent.
“I wouldn’t be surprised, but it’s not a possibility.” People are making assumptions about this. That has been mentioned by various people. The NDC has been extremely beneficial to Dr. Duffour. He has gotten to his current position and is already successful; he does not need to start a new party to become even more successful.
If he wants to run for president, he can start a new political party. But I don’t believe his actualization principle is to be president at all costs, even if it means sacrificing his party. I wouldn’t be astonished if it happened, but it’s unlikely to happen as people speculate.”
