Mahama Ayariga, the current Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has been re-elected as the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate.
In the just concluded NDC primaries, he received 863 votes.
This would be his fourth time leading the NDC in legislative elections in 2024.
Ustarz Jibreal Sahad received 283 votes, while Theo Braimah Awanzam received 96 votes.
Former President John Dramani Mahama received 1201 votes in the presidential primary, while Kojo Bonsu received 24 votes.
Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, who dropped out of the campaign on Friday evening, received nine votes.
Three votes were rejected out of the total valid votes cast.
Dr. Dominic Akurintinga Ayine received 292 votes in the Bolgatanga East Constituency, whereas Dr. Emmanuel Aberiinga received 121 votes.
Nyamekye Armah Blay received 502 votes in the Sekondi constituency, while Samuel Bissah received 307. Four votes were invalidated.
Kwabena Duffuor Junior received 203 votes in the Sekyere Afram Plains constituency but was defeated by Hajia Nasira Afrah, who received 211 votes.
Alex Adomako Mensah, the incumbent member of Parliament, finished third with 86 votes, while Prof. Edward Brenya, a political science lecturer at KNUST, received 65 votes.
Dzudzorli Gakpe has also been re-elected as the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Keta Constituency.
