The incumbent Member of Parliament, for Jomoro, has described her victory in the parliamentary primary as an overwhelming one.
The MP was re-relected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Jomoro seat.
The female politician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist triumphed by a landslide.
She received 1,574 votes at the conclusion of voting and tabulation.
Francis Actatia Kwaidoo, her opponent, received only 175 votes.
She has since been declared the elected parliamentary candidate.
Former President John Dramani Mahama received 1,721 votes in the presidential primary.
In a statement posted on her official Facebook page, she extended gratitude to the delegates for the support she received.
“I AM SO OVERWHELMED WITH JOY. GOD HAS INDEED DONE IT. JOMORO, I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of my supporters who took the time out to go and vote. I, Dorcas Affo Toffey will continue to provide and deliver for the constituents of Jomoro. Together we can!!”
