Former Beum constituency MP Daniel Ashaimah is incensed by the topic of whether the NDC is an alternative government.
It is offensive, he claims, for anyone to ask such a question, which is fostered by the NPP.
Every day, they insist that the NDC is not an option. What do they mean when they say we’re not an option? When we ask them what an alternative is, they are unable to respond. What exactly do you mean by “alternative”? What does a nation require, and what exactly is service? Has the NDC delivered on that promise?
“Do not allow the NPP to put these words in your mouth. They promised heaven on earth but gave nothing. Examine the E-blocks built by Mahama and compare them to the NPP’s track record to see if they have any. Look at the hospitals established by Mahama and then question the NPP, which is always talking about alternatives, if they have built any hospitals since taking control.
How dare you compare such an inept government to one with a proven track record? You have taken so many loans as a government and yet have nothing to show for it. How dare you then discuss alternatives when your track record is one of corruption, ineptitude, and a collapsing economy?
Ghanaians, he remarked, have hope in the NDC and want us back. When I drive into town with the NDC flag on my car, I keep hearing people ask us to come back and save the country from the inept NPP.
IThis government can only be compared to Idk Amin’s evil.
The majority of Ghanaians, even those in security, want the NDC back, but you keep asking about alternatives.
“We have a president who has refused to listen to the people and has acted like Idi Amin, and there is one with a solid track record in the person of Mahama, who has done a lot, and you ask me if the NDC is an alternative.” Don’t bother asking me about it because it’s not relevant here.”
