As part of his birthday celebrations, ace broadcaster and award winner Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, one of Rainbow Radio’s longest-serving Journalists, donated to Darkuman Chosen Children’s Home.
Bags of rice, oil, assorted drink packs, soap, and other items were notable donations.
An undisclosed sum of money in Pounds was also donated to the home to help with the reconstruction of their damaged dormitory.
Speaking to the media, Nhiyira Asirifi stated that the purpose of his donation was to brighten the lives of orphans.
Manageress Felicity Ali, who accepted the donation on behalf of the foundation, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the broadcaster for such a generous gift.
Madam Felicity Ali also took advantage of the occasion to urge individuals, corporations, and, most importantly, the government to support their cause.
“We are in desperate need of assistance; we are caring for 48 children ranging in age from three months to 19 years.” Our biggest challenge right now is money. We want to give these children hope and a bright future, and we want to provide them with a quality education because who knows, maybe one day we will have a future President and Ministers here, and we need money to do so.
As you can see, our only dormitory is in disrepair and needs to be rebuilt.” She stated.
“I will use this platform to appeal to individuals, corporations, and the government for financial assistance.” She went on to say.
