Fifteen persons have escaped unhurt after a three-storey building collapsed at Winneba in the Efutu Municipality of the Central Region.
The Winneba Municipal Fire Service Commander DO2 Kwesi Hugues revealed that, they had a distress call from some residents that a three-storey building have collapsed on some tenants.
DO2 Hugues explained that when they arrived at the scene, all of the tenants were able to flee, but none of them was able to retrieve their belongings.
He added that preliminary investigations revealed that the building was constructed in a waterlogged condition, and the owner failed to use quality materials.
He further called on the public to stop buying land during the dry season to know the nature of the land.
He also called on Ghanaians to do visibility studies before renting a house.
