[VIDEO] : Appointments Committee holds a public hearing to consider the Chief Justice nominee, Justice Torkono

Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Torkornoo, the nominee for Chief Justice, is being vetted by the Appointments Committee of Parliament today, May 26.

President Akufo-Addo appointed the Supreme Court judge to replace retired Chief Justice His Lordship Anin-Yeboah.

If she is confirmed, she will become Ghana’s third female Chief Justice, following Justices Georgina Theodora Wood and Sophia Akuffo.
