Dr. Prince Amuzu, a spokesperson for former Agriculture Minister Dr. Afriyie Akoto, believes the former will win the New Patriotic Party presidential primary.
He stated that, unlike the other candidates, the aspiring presidential candidate is on the ground working and speaking to delegates seeking their support.
He said that speaking in the media does not make one popular and that he [Dr. Akoto] is doing everything possible to be elected as a presidential candidate.
”The other candidates are in Accra, and the ones who are talking a lot in the media appear to be heard and seen, but the reality is that the votes are on the ground. Delegates, including constituency chairmen and delegates, will choose the presidential candidate.”
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said the victory of Afriyie Akoto would shock people because they least expected it.
He told host Kwabena Agyapong that the former Minister had done all that was needed to win massively the presidential primaries.
”Let those who are making noise keep making noise. Dr. Akoto knows this is an internal competition, so he engages the delegates. The results will determine who went to the ground to work,” he added.
