Samuel Antwi, the landlord who offered his space for the operation of the Karlo health centre in the Suaman Dadieso district of the Western North Region, has locked the facility down due to unpaid rent.
The landlord claims that the district assembly owes him GH7,000.00 in rent arrears.
The owner of the space where the health workers work forcibly ejected them from the Karlo facility.
In an interview with Kwabena Sowah, the facility’s owner, Samuel Antwi stated that the Suaman Dadieso District Assembly has failed to pay his rent arrears, resulting in the closure of the health centre.
He stated that he had written a series of letters to the assembly regarding his rent arrears, but that they had not responded to any of his letters.
