The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has ordered the destoolment of the chief of Antoa, a popular town in Asanteman.
The embattled traditional ruler is said to have violated customary procedures by instating his nephew to take over from him while he lives.
The Chief who is said to have ruled for twenty years is also accused of engaging in the multiple sale of lands.
Otumfuo is said to have delivered his ruling at a sitting of the Kumasi Traditional Council on Monday.
Traditional rites for the destoolment processes have started in earnest.
