Eighty-five students of the Koforidua Senior High Technical School (SECTECH) have been suspended indefinitely following the brutal attack on students and teachers of the New Juaben Senior High School.
The decision to suspend the students was taken by the Board and Management of the school.
The attack which occurred on Sunday, May 14, 2023, left four students of the New Juaben Senior High School and the school’s chaplain badly injured.
It took the intervention of the Police to restore law and order in the school.
Four students were subsequently arrested to assist with investigations.
The school later launched its internal probe into the incident.
Six students who allegedly masterminded the attack were identified and were immediately handed their sanctions.
Details have emerged that the majority of the suspended students are final-year students.
The management says it would allow the final-year students to write their WASSCE exams.
