George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), has met with executives from the two major political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), ahead of the Assin North by-election.
The meeting, which took place at Assin State College SHS, aimed to promote dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among political parties and the police service.
The IGP sought to address any concerns or issues raised by NDC and NPP executives in order to ensure a peaceful and orderly election process.
Representatives from both parties emphasised the importance of the police displaying a high level of professionalism and ensuring that the election is conducted peacefully.
