Three suspected armed robbers shot a mobile money vendor at Wenchi in the Bono Region after robbing him of several hundred Ghana cedis.
The agent, Ramond Kombanga, 32, was robbed at his workplace.
He was shot and is currently being treated in the hospital.
According to emerging information, the victim’s wife is seven months pregnant.
The wife, Naa Veronica, said her husband usually closes at 9:00 p.m., but she doesn’t know why he stayed that late on Friday, stressing that she was waiting for him to come home when she received a phone call saying he had been shot.
She has been told that her husband is responding to treatment, but she has yet to see him in person.
”I was at home when I got the call that my husband had been shot at work. I dashed to the hospital and found out it was true. I haven’t seen him yet, but I’ve been assured that he is responding to treatment. I can’t tell you how much money is involved. It’s quite a bit. ”I’ve been pregnant for seven months,” she explained.
