The Electricity Company of Ghana (EGC) has apologised to consumers who are currently experiencing power outages in their localities.
The power company stated in a statement that the disruptions are caused by gas supply challenges.
The supply challenges identified by the ECG stemmed from a power failure at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and a WAPCO technical challenge.
“As a result of the above, all Asogli phase-1 units, Cenpower and Aksa power plants have shut down leading to a generation shortfall,” the statement said.
It further disclosed that power would be fully restored by 9:00 pm in all the affected areas.
