The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications has admonished the Cyber Security Authority to prosecute the 420 suspects engaged in loan app fraud.

It has also proposed community service, where the suspects will be engaged to impart ICT knowledge to individuals who are not ICT inclined.

To the chamber, it would be best to prosecute them to serve as a deterrent to others.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, Kenneth Ashigbey, indicated that there was a need to work on and build on the cyber capacity of the people in the country.

The training programme was in partnership with the Institute for ICT Professionals.

The Member of Parliament for Agona West, Cynthia Morrison, and the District Chief Executive for the area, Onumah Coleman, were also present at the event.
