Kennedy Agyapong, a flagbearer hopeful in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming presidential primary, has threatened to respond in kind if his opponents do not run a clean campaign.
The Assin Central MP was meeting with delegates in Kintampo North, Nono Region.
Although he did not name anyone, it was clear that he was addressing the Vice President.
”You claim to be a strategist, but here we are. You claim to be a strategist, but Ghana has returned to the IMF. If the NPP does not engage in a clean campaign, they will be in big trouble because I will respond in kind. Please excuse me, strategist! They should let us start a clean campaign because I will respond to whatever they say.”
The lawmaker claimed he was far superior to those who can call themselves strategists because he has personally established businesses and pays over 7,000 workers every month.
”I have established a steel plant company and will employ 1,000 people by next month. Who among us is a strategist? I own the largest cold store in Africa. 31,000 tonnes. Those of you who are paid by the government for your security, lighting, and other services: In this country, I have hired and paid 7,158 people. ”Who among us is a strategist?”
