The Chiefs and people of Anyako-Konu, in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, yesterday, July 20, 2023, commissioned a 60,000 liter capacity water facility to serve the community.
According to the Paramount Chief, Togbi Tenge Dzokoto Gligui VII, after decades of water starvation, he and his chiefs made a passionate plea to Vice President, His Excellency Dr. Bawumia, who took an interest and helped in getting the project off its feet.

Representing the Vice President, Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, congratulated the Chiefs and people of Anyako, and reiterated the commitment of Government to spreading development projects across the length and breadth of the country without biased partisan considerations.
On his own behalf and on behalf of his people, Togbi Tenge Dzokoto Gligui VII expressed his deep appreciation for the support – especially, the commitment of the Ghana Water Company Limited, to meter homes for proper distribution and reciprocal payment of token bills in order to sustain the project.

Mr, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, who hails from Anyako (maternally), thanked his people for their commitment to self-help and pledged to continue to champion the cause of Anyako as he does – especially via massive infrastructure projects for the Anyako Senior High School through the GETFUND during the period of President John Evans Atta-Mills. The projects include, 12 unit classroom block, boys and girls dormitories, multipurpose dining hall, Headmaster’s bungalow and a bus.

Later, Dr. Letsa and Koku Anyidoho visited the Anyako Senior High School, and interacted with staff and students – pledging more projects such as a, Science Resource Center, Administration Block, ICT Center and other facilities on behalf of the Vice President.

The staff and students were grateful for the visit and thanked Dr. Letsa for government’s commitment to support and give greater meaning to the Free Education concept.
