The Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has resigned.
Her resignation follows the news relating to the alleged theft by two of her households at her private residence in Abelemkpe and the controversies it has generated.
The suspects and some others are currently in court for allegedly stealing an amount of $1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghanaian cedis at her residence in Abelenkpe, Accra, in October 2022.
The Minister in her resignation letter pledged she was ready to assist with ongoing investigation into the matter.
