Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has slammed former President John Dramani Mahama, labelling him as a contender with no track record.
The Vice President, who is running for President of the NPP in 2024, believes he is better positioned to defeat Mr. Mahama.
He stated that he has greater experience and knows what it takes to defeat the NDC’s presidential candidate because he had defeated him twice in prior elections.
He claimed that John Dramani Mahama lacked anything distinctive or superior and that was why the NPP defeated him in 2016 and 2020, and that if he (Bawumia) is elected as the candidate in 2024, the NPP has a possibility of defeating him again.
”The NDC has chosen Mahama as its candidate for 2024. Did we not beat him in 2016? Did we not defeat him in 2020, and yet they want to bring him back in 2024? Who is the best candidate to defeat him? I am that candidate. I know how to defeat Mahama. I am the only one who can defeat Mahama.”
