Mrs Serwah Quanor, the founder of Autism Awareness, Care, and Training Centre, has expressed her dissatisfaction with Ghana’s lip service to autism care.
According to her, she is tired of this government’s and previous governments’ broken promises and will no longer make any type of appeal to the government for help.
In an exclusive interview with Rainbow Radio’s Fiifi Ankomah, she lamented that she had made several appeals to the government for support for autism care and awareness activities.
However, because these appeals have not received the necessary attention, she will no longer be concerned about seeking assistance.
She was speaking to him at the centre’s graduation ceremony in Haatso, Greater Accra Region.
She described Ghanaian politicians as the same, and no government has provided them with any assistance in their 25 years of operation.
She particularly described the current administration as vindictive, stressing that when you comment about anything relating to them, they will come after you.
”I don’t want to say anything because this government is vindictive. So I am tired of talking. We went to the Ministry of Education with an appeal, and we went to the Ministry of Children, and they promised to help, but they have done nothing. I am tired of the promises. Government go, government come; they are all the same. I am tired of the failed promises. They will make the promises but will do nothing, so why should I waste my energy?”
