Aba Safoa, a middle-aged woman, was allegedly shot by a guy after she refused him the chance to date her daughter.
The perpetrator, who was armed with a pistol, allegedly stormed the victim’s home and shot her on Saturday, August 4, 2023.
Following the attack, the victim is said to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
She was brought to the hospital, where she is currently responding to treatment despite her serious condition.
The incident occurred in Adwenpayie, a suburb of the Central Region’s Abura Dunkwa town.
The suspect has been named as Kow Mensah.
Rev. Ebusuapanyin Edwin Kojo Sekyi, the Opinion Leader in Abura Dunkwa, corroborated the story.
He told Nyankonton Mu Nsem of Rainbow/Radio 87.5Fm that the victim was opposed to the suspect’s relationship with her daughter.
The suspect and the victim’s daughter have a five-year-old daughter together.
The police have since launched an investigation into the incident.
According to him, the victim was opposed to the relationship because the suspect was already married with two wives.
“The victim was opposed to the suspect’s daughter’s relationship.” Unbeknownst to her, the suspect was upset about the situation, so he allegedly stormed the woman’s home and fired bullets at her while she was sleeping. The woman assumed she was being thrown stones, but it was gunfire. “She was taken to the hospital,” he explained.
