A young male, thought to be between the ages of 17 and 18, died suddenly after being electrocuted.
According to preliminary information, the young man attempted to steal from an electrical shop in Fiapre, a suburb in the Sunyani West municipality.
Residents in Fiapre’s Oyoko electoral area awoke Saturday morning to see the tragedy.
They spotted the deceased with a hand out of the shop and his body inside.
According to Nii Okai Okantey, who reported from the scene, the unemployed young man is a notorious thief in the region.
Mr. Daniel Bronya ran the shop.
Officers from the Sunyani West Police Command retrieved Alkaline’s body and deposited it at the Bono Regional Hospital Mortuary.
