Special Prosecutor touts his achievements after two years in office

Kissi Agyebeng, the Special Prosecutor, has highlighted some of his accomplishments and successes since his appointment two years ago.

According to the SP, he has finished important cases.

He also claimed to have stopped the payment of GHC5 million in the Northern Development Authority (NDA) case and recovered more than GHC1 million.

The Special Prosecutor at his swearing ceremony two years ago on August 5, 2023, promised to work hard to ensure that corruption in Ghana, which he likened to a pandemic, is suppressed and repressed.

“I come into this office and pledge to the people of Ghana as I said exactly two weeks ago, that I am going to work assiduously [and] with deliberation to suppress and repress corruption,” Agyebeng said when he was sworn into office on Thursday 5 August 2021.
