Kumasi: Give us Ken as a candidate or you’ll lose the 2024 Prez election – Group and Traders to NPP

August 25, 2023

Members of the Grassroot Movement of Ghana are urging New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to vote ‘NO KENNEDY AGYAPONG’ as presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

As a result, the organisation has requested that party delegates massively endorse Kennedy Agyapong at the superdelegates conference on Saturday, August 26, 2023, and vote for him as the candidate in the November presidential primary.

According to them, Kennedy Agyapong has displayed acts of integrity, patriotism, and honesty over the years, which set him apart from his competition.

Nana Opoku Agyemang, the patron of the movement and Kontihene of Domeabra, stated during a news conference in Kumasi that the youth in the country are fed up with the attitude of some politicians who lack patriotism, honesty, and discipline in their leadership.

He believes that the Assin Central constituency MP represents optimism for Ghanaians in general and for the youth in particular.

He praised him as pragmatic, visionary, and having the necessary qualities to manage Ghana.

“We are not here for political reasons,” he explained. We are not politicians, but we support Kennedy Agyapong because he is a visionary and a truthteller. He has the necessary honesty and expertise to lead the country.

“As young people, we want a leader who represents hope, and we see that in Kennedy Agyapong. We’ve seen politicians come and go, but Kennedy Agyapong stands out from the crowd. That is why we are urging delegates to vote heavily for him. We want them to vote for him as their presidential candidate. We will not vote for the NPP if he is not present.”
Meanwhile, some Adum traders have endorsed Kennedy Agyapong.

They have requested that the elephant party choose him as their candidate for the 2024 election, or they will not vote.

“The delegates will decide who will represent the party in 2024, and we want them to elect Kennedy Agyapong. We want them to know that we will determine who will be elected president in the 2024 national election. As a result, they must make the correct choice. If they do not give us Ken, we will reject them in 2024,” a trader stated.

Another trader said, “There is something about Kennedy Agyapong that sets him apart from the rest of the candidates. He always tells the truth. He is credible, reliable, and, most importantly, the best person to manage the country and provide us with better leadership.”

“Kennedy Agyapong has shown that he is a man of action. He has a track record, and if he is elected president in 2024, he will accomplish far more than he has done thus far. “We want the delegates to elect him as the presidential candidate, and we will also elect him in the presidential election in 2024,” another averred.
