A 29-year-old disc jockey with Mankessim-based coastal FM, Kwame Egyama, has been found dead in a police cell in Mankessim in the Central Region.
The young man, who is also a taxi driver, was arrested by the Jedu Police after he refused to stop for a routine check by a police team.
He was reportedly kept in police custody but was found dead in the cell the following day.
Residents in the community were outraged by the incident and demanded a probe into the circumstances leading to the death of the young man.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has expressed shock at the incident and has called for a thorough investigation.
