Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has denied any business relationship with Bugri Naabu.
Appearing before the parliamentary committee probing the leaked tape, Dampare said: “I do not have any working relationship with him [Bugri Naabu]”.
The IGP denied any contract with Bugri Naabu to secretly record the leaked tape.
Bugri Naabu confirmed the authenticity of a leaked tape and confirmed hiring a recording company, stating this during his appearance before the committee investigating the matter on August 28, 2023.
The IGP has denied involvement in the secret recording.
The IGP emphasized his commitment to upholding the law and maintaining the integrity of the Ghana Police Service, pledging to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation and provide necessary information or assistance.
